Shrimp Po' Boy Sandwich

If you’re in the mood for a po’ boy sandwich and you love the flavor of Old Bay, you’ve gotta try this sandwich! This classic Louisiana shrimp po’ boy gets a bit of a twist…Old Bay Hot Sauce drizzled on top and a few generous shakes of Old Bay seasoning. Yessuh!!! Don’t get no better than that Jack!


What you'll need:

1 loaf French bread

½ pound Argentine red shrimp

4 cups Slap Ya Mama Cajun Fish Fry

2 eggs, beaten

2 tomatoes

Shredded lettuce

Kosher dill pickle slices/chips

Old Bay seasoning

Old Bay Hot Sauce

Roumalade sauce

Garlic butter, melted

Oil, for frying


First, heat oil in frying pan or deep fryer. Begin breading shrimp by coating them in beaten egg mixture. Next, toss coated shrimp in Slap Ya Mama Cajun Fish Fry, covering shrimp in fish fry mixture well. Add shrimp to heated oil in frying pan or deep fryer, fry for 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown outside, remove from the pan/fryer. Prepare sandwich by cutting French bread loaf in half and slicing down the middle. Drizzle melted garlic butter into sliced bread and begin adding sliced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, pickles, and fried shrimp. Sprinkle Old Bay seasoning on top of sandwich toppings then drizzle on Old Bay hot sauce and roumalade.


And that’s it! Plate ‘em up and enjoy!


**Note: You can use more or less seasoning and ingredients to your liking**
